UV Coating: UV coating is used to protect your brochures. UV is a high-gloss lamination. UV coating improves the durability of the brochures for a long periods of the time. It also make your brochures looks better.
YOU CAN NOT PRINT OR WRITE ON UV COATED PRODUCTS.
If you desire the ability to write on the back of your business card we offer 14pt & 16pt versions with a matte finish on the back of the card. Color Front/No Back or Color/Color the front will be the only side UV coated.
Aqueous Coating: This finish is shiny and smooth, and is done in line flood coated on the press. It provides a high-gloss surface that deters dirt and fingerprints
UV Coating: is a clear liquid spread over the paper like ink and then cured instantly with ultraviolet light. I and can be used as a spot covering to accent a particular image on the sheet or as an overall (flood) coating. UV coating gives more protection and sheen than either varnish or aqueous coating. Since it is cured with light and not heat, no solvents enter the atmosphere. However, it is more difficult to recycle than the other coatings.
UV coating is applied as a separate finishing operation as a flood coating or (applied by screen printing) as a spot coating. Keep in mind that this thick coating may crack when scored or folded.
